In 2032 an Earth that knows only peace is forced to relearn the art of war. Twenty years have passed since the population of Earth did a fine job of destroying nearly everything in one final struggle for power by the politicians and military leaders.

In the space of fifty years, Earth changed from a planet on cusp of a challenging future to a world a breath away from lifelessness and plunged into an apocalyptic time of ecological disaster, global warfare and the meltdown of human civilization. This is the time of the Maelstrom.

Meet allies, foes and aliens on your trek across a solar system. Plan layouts, coordinate attacks, balance resources, manage fleet facilities and take on many different kinds of enemies in numerous encounters along your journey.
